Scientific Visit

Based on the principle of scientific cooperation between departments and scientific centers at our beloved university, and in an effort to inform students of new fields and areas of work and expand their scientific and practical knowledge base, third-year students from the Department of Medical and Industrial Materials Science in the Department of Applied Sciences at the University of Technology, under the supervision of the department head, organized a scientific visit to the laboratories of the Environmental Research Center/Department of Environmental Technologies on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The scientific visit included an overview of the scientific reality of the laboratories of the Environmental Technologies Department, where students learned firsthand about the nature and method of operation of medical laboratories and the modern technologies used in them, including advanced devices and equipment that improve performance and enhance its quality. On the sidelines of the visit, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mahmoud Halim gave a lecture entitled “Bio-compatibility and Toxicity,” which covered cellular toxicity and its types, the tests available in the laboratories of the Department of Environmental Technologies that serve the students’ scientific orientation, and ways of cooperation between the Environmental Research Center and the Department of Applied Sciences in the field of applied medical examinations
