
Delegation from the Environmental Research Center Participates in the Green Science Festival for Sustainable Development at Al-Nahrain University
A delegation from the Environmental Research Center, representing the Departments of Sustainable Development and Environmental Technologies, participated in the Green Science Festival for Sustainable Development, held at the College of Science – Al-Nahrain University. The delegation’s contributions included scientific posters, awareness initiatives, and sustainable green agriculture projects.
The Sustainable Development Department presented an awareness poster titled “Clean Water: The Path to a Sustainable Life”, prepared by Dr. Abbas Jawad Kadhem (Head of Department), Dr. Moayad Naseer Muslim, and Asst. Lecturer Abdulaziz Ahmed Hamad.
Additionally, Asst. Lecturer Asmaa Nafi Badri, Asst. Lecturer Israa Radi Abbas and Dr. Hind Abduljaleel participated in showcasing sustainable green agriculture projects. Meanwhile, the Environmental Technologies Department contributed with scientific research posters. Dr. Zahraa Zahraw presented a research poster titled “Treatment of Crude Oil Spills in Water using Microbial Action”
While Dr. Afaf Abdulrahman Ayoub presented a study titled “The Effect of Microencapsulation of Flaxseed Oil with Protein Isolate and Fenugreek Gum on Experimental Animals in Improving Nutritional Properties”.
The participation reflected the Environmental Research Center’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and environmental innovation, emphasizing the importance of scientific research and environmental awareness in achieving sustainability goals.
