The Office of the President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies / Department of Chemical, Biological and Radiation Safety and Security, in cooperation with the Environmental Research Center and the Women’s Affairs Unit, held a workshop chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mahmoud Halim and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Zahra and Assistant Professor Dr. Afif Abdul Rahman Al-Sabbagh, where the lecturer, Assistant Professor Hanin Rashid, gave a lecture entitled “Violence against Women and its Psychological Effects on the Family and Society” on Tuesday 12/17/2024 in Dr. Jawamir Hall in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, which dealt with violence against women, its effects and negative indicators in the life of society, the mechanism for avoiding this uncivilized phenomenon and ways to address it, the legal legislation that works to reduce it, and how to psychologically treat abusers in order to advance our society and the Iraqi family in particular, and to raise children in a safe and stable environment.
