Assistant lecturer Ahmed Haider Sadiq gave a Lecture entitled (Study of krillin, phesfatin, hepcidin and ferritin for obese women). In his lecture, he explained the definition of obesity, which is a medical disorder in which excessive growth of fat accumulates throughout the body to the point that it may Have a harmful effect on health. Obesity is linked to the development of many diseases such as insulin resistance, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and various types of cancer.
‏This study was designed to determine the relationship of obesity with ghrelin, visfatin, hepcidin, and ferritin in a sample of women who visit the Al-Kindi Obesity Center.
‏Eighty obese females aged between (18-65 years) with a body mass index greater than 30 kg/m2 participated in this study, half of whom were diagnosed with high blood pressure, and the other half were healthy (do not suffer from a medical condition), and forty Female as control group (healthy people).
