
Lecture entitled (Antioxidants and their health effects in cancer prevention)
As part of the Environmental Research Center’s cultural season, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mahmoud Halim gave a lecture titled “Antioxidants and Their Health Effects in Cancer Prevention.” The lecture addressed cancer, a complex disease, and how it poses a major global health concern. She also discussed the role of antioxidants found in various foods and nutritional supplements in reducing damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting cells from oxidative damage.
